The 2009 ACB Convention is hosted this year by three Houston-area community ensembles acting together: The Houston Concert Band, The Lone Star Symphonic Band, and The Woodlands Concert Band. You can read more about these groups by clicking on the Host Bands tab at the top of this screen.
This year's convention will feature a nationally-known clinician, multiple special-interest sessions, and well as nine outstanding concert performances. Check our schedule for concert details, and map and directions are included in the "Convention Information" menu choice above.

The Houston Area Community Music Association (HACMA) is an all-volunteer organization that promotes community music to the Greater Houston Metropolitan Area. The organization's Board of Directors is made up of volunteer musicians and directors of some of the Houston area Community Bands.
ACB 2009 is pleased to welcome Robert Sheldon as clinician this year. Robert Sheldon (b. Feb 3, 1954) has taught instrumental music in the Florida and Illinois public schools, and has served on the faculty at Florida State University where he taught conducting and instrumental music education classes, and directed the university bands.
